The Cloud Act problem
The US Cloud Act, passed in 2018, allows American authorities to compel tech companies to hand over data stored on their servers, even if those servers are physically located outside the United States. Any data hosted on Amazon AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure is potentially affected.
Our OVHcloud infrastructure
All of Spray Social is hosted on OVHcloud, Europe's leading cloud provider founded in Roubaix, France. Our servers are in France (Gravelines) and Italy. Database, media storage, backend API: everything runs on OVHcloud. No data passes through the United States.
European AI with Mistral
Even our AI is European. We use Mistral, a French AI, for moderation and source verification. No OpenAI, no Google AI. The entire technology stack is European.
GDPR by design
