Community Fact-Checking
A unique 3-layer verification system
On traditional social networks, misinformation spreads faster than truth. Spray Social was designed from the ground up to solve this problem, with a 3-layer information verification system that combines European artificial intelligence and collective intelligence.
Layer 1: AI Moderation by Mistral
Every post is analyzed in real-time by Mistral, a French artificial intelligence. It automatically detects problematic content: obvious misinformation, hate speech, manipulation. Unlike American platforms using models trained primarily on English data, Mistral understands the nuances of European languages.
Layer 2: Community Verification with 14 Criteria
Community members can evaluate each post against 14 specific criteria: source reliability, factual consistency, presence of evidence, contextualization, and more. This is not a simple "report" button — it is a structured analysis grid that encourages critical thinking.
Layer 3: AI-Powered Source Verification
Mistral is also used to automatically verify sources cited in posts. The AI searches the web, cross-references information and provides a source reliability score. This system quickly distinguishes reliable sources from misinformation sites.
European AI
Moderation by Mistral, a French AI that understands European languages.
Collective intelligence
14 evaluation criteria for rigorous community fact-checking.
Source verification
Automatic analysis of cited sources with reliability scoring.
Full transparency
Every evaluation is visible and traceable. No opaque censorship.
Real-time
Detection and flagging in real-time, not after content goes viral.
Multilingual
Works in French, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
Why this is different from other platforms
On Twitter/X, moderation is opaque and subject to one man's decisions. Community Notes are a step forward, but remain controlled by the company. On Facebook, third-party fact-checkers are regularly accused of bias. Spray Social offers a transparent model where the community itself evaluates content using objective criteria, assisted by an independent European AI.
